We would like to extend a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the contributors to the “Big Coronation Party” and to everyone who came along to support this wonderful community event, which marked the King’s Coronation and celebrated volunteering at the Old School Building.
Particular thanks are due to the WI for their delicious array of cakes, tea and coffee, Burton Joyce Community Brass for their brilliant concert, The Village Society and History Society for their work in raising the funds for the restoration of the Old School clock and the generous contributors to the funds.  Sincere thanks are also due to Steve Swann from ‘The Magazine’ for producing the banners and Coronation Programme and Anne Tate Photography for the photos to record this memorable occasion.
Also to the Post Office and Rainbows for organising the brilliant children’s competitions – congratulations to all the winners announced at the Party. Thanks too to Paddington’s Waffles, Jolly Jingles and the volunteers who helped set and and take down the gazebos, tables, chairs and bunting and not forgetting the Parish Councillors and staff of Burton Joyce Parish Council for working hard in the background to make the event a success.
Here are some memories of the day…

The Party was funded by the National Lottery’s Community Fund
